3D Projection Mapping
We are organizing an outdoor evening event for an anniversary celebration and want to project an animation onto the facade of a historic building. I’ve never hired a team for architectural mapping before. Is the setup incredibly time-consuming, and do we need to provide detailed architectural blueprints of the building to the creators?

You don't necessarily need blueprints, but the production team will need to do a precise laser scan or 3D model of the facade. Every window and ledge changes how the light hits. I know that projection 3D mapping animation from https://lumenstory.com/services/projection-3d-mapping-animation/ requires mapping out every architectural detail beforehand so the graphics don't distort. Give yourself at least a few weeks for the design phase.
